What I learned earning the Hedera Certified Foundation
In September 2026 I began an internship at Momentum Labs focused on Distributed Ledger Technology, Web3 and Hedera Hashgraph, and I completed the Hedera Certified Foundation certification from The Hashgraph Association.
What the certification covers
Hedera is a public ledger that uses hashgraph consensus, which is asynchronous Byzantine fault tolerant (aBFT). The course also covered tokenization, stablecoins, smart contracts, decentralized identity, AI data provenance, ESG applications and Hedera developer tools.
Why it matters to a full-stack developer
Most of my work uses familiar stacks like MERN and Next.js. Web3 adds a new layer: verifiable records, programmable assets and shared trust between parties who do not know each other.
Use cases I find exciting
Verifiable records for public services, transparent tracking of funds, and digital identity that users control. These connect to problems I have already worked on, such as bursary disbursement and developer verification on IsoMount.
What is next
I am continuing at Momentum Labs, learning from the team and applying what I learn to real projects, including StockSense.
